IPL is a gentle, FDA approved method for permanent reduction of unwanted hair. Our IPL works by emitting pulses of light into the hair follicle and destroying the cells responsible for growing new hair. Multiple treatments spread over six to eight weeks are essential for best results. Prior to your treatment you will meet with Dr. Umbreen Chaudhary to help determine if you are a candidate for this procedure. The following areas may be treated:

Prior To Your Treatment: Please avoid tweezing, waxing, and bleaching of the hair two weeks prior to your treatment. Hair should be shaved or clipped the day before your treatment. To ensure a safe treatment avoid tanning or the use of self tanners.

After Your Treatment: We advise our patients to avoid the sun for up to one week. Please apply 1% hydrocortisone to the treated area.
