Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers are used to restore volume in the face and to help regain a more youthful appearance. A filler is injected under your skin to instantly smooth out the wrinkles and folds. Results are immediate. Some of our most popular areas include "Parentheses" around mouth (smile lines), hollows under the eyes, lips, hands, and cheeks.

The fillers we offer, Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse and Perlane, are all FDA approved dermal fillers. Our physician will help determine which filler is right for you.

Radiesse is made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a natural gel. Radiesse can be used in almost any treatable area and typically lasts 12-18 months. Radiesse stimulates your skin to make new collagen. It is currently one of the longest lasting fillers on the market.

juverderm-logoJuvederm is made of hyaluronic acid and typically lasts 8-12months. A benefit of Juvederm is its smooth consistency making it ideal for lip augmentation in addition to smoothing facial folds and wrinkles.

restylane-logoperlane-logoRestylane and Perlane are made of hyaluronic acid. The difference is in the gel particle size. Perlane gel particles are larger and designed for deeper folds than Restylane. Restylane and Perlane typically lasts about 6-9 months.

PRIOR TO YOUR TREATMENT:

No aspirin or ibuprofen two weeks prior to treatment can minimize bruising.

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT:

Apply an ice pack or cold compress to the injection sites after treatment to help reduce swelling.

It is normal to feel "firmness" in your injection area for the first few days after treatment. Over time, the area will soften, leaving you a soft, natural looking result.

Many patients return to their normal routine/activities immediately.

Makeup may be applied shortly after treatment if no complications are present. Apply makeup gently, avoiding strenuous rubbing of the injection site.

Sunbathing or excessive UV exposure should be avoided until the redness or swelling has subsided.

Immediately report any worsening or persistent symptoms or side effects to your physician.
