Dermal Fillers are used to restore volume in the face and to help regain a more youthful appearance. A filler is injected under your skin to instantly smooth the wrinkles and folds. Results are immediate. Some of our most popular areas include “Parenthesis” around mouth (smile lines), lips, and hands. Adds volume to cheeks and lip restoration.
The fillers we offer, JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC, Radiesse®, Juvederm®, Restylane®, Perlane® and Belotero Balance® are all FDA approved dermal fillers. Our physician will help determine which filler is right for you.
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC injectable gel is the first and only filler FDA-approved to add volume to the cheek area. It can give you a subtle lift, possibly helping to restore contour and a more youthful profile, for possibly up to 2 years, in patients over the age of 21. It’s different than JUVÉDERM® XC and works on a different area of the face. JUVÉDERM® XC can smoothe out moderate to severe wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth, like parenthesis. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC, however, can add volume to the cheek area.
Radiesse® is made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a natural gel. Radiesse® can be used in almost any treatable area and possibly lasts 12-18 months. Radiesse® stimulates your skin to make new collagen. It is currently one of the longest lasting fillers on the market.
Juvéderm® is made of hyaluronic acid and possibly lasts 8-12 months. A benefit of Juvéderm® is its smooth consistency making it ideal for lip augmentation in addition to possibly smoothing facial folds and wrinkles.
BELOTERO BALANCE® is a prescription injection that is approved to possibly temporarily smooth and treat moderate-to-severe nasolabial folds (the folds or wrinkles that go from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth).
No aspirin or ibuprofen two weeks prior to treatment can minimize bruising.
Apply an ice pack or cold compress to the injection sites after treatment to help reduce swelling.
It is normal to possibly feel “firmness” in your injection area for the first few days after treatment. Over time, the area can soften, possibly leaving you a soft, natural looking result.
Many patients can possibly return to their normal routine/activities quickly.
Makeup may possibly be applied shortly after treatment if no complications are present.
Sunbathing or excessive UV exposure should be avoided until the redness or swelling has subsided.
Immediately report any worsening or persistent symptoms or side effects to your physician.
